Where we come from
We all recognize the same scene: someone opens an architecture diagram carefully drawn at the start of the project, and everyone in the room knows — without saying it out loud — that it no longer reflects what is in production.
Documentation ages the moment the next commit lands. The code changes every day; the drawing stays frozen in time. And when someone needs to decide where to invest, plan a migration or assess a risk, they decide from a portrait that no longer matches the company.
We wanted to start with the system as it actually exists: read the current code and build an evidence-based assessment. For years, that meant weeks of interviews and hands-on investigation. Advances in analysis tools made it possible to automate parts of that investigation while retaining rigor and keeping findings tied to evidence. That is what we built.
The commitments we do not negotiate
The platform extracts facts deterministically — files, dependencies, cycles, authorship and vulnerabilities — with references to specific places in the code. The language layer then writes the assessment. Automated checks reject statements that are not supported by that evidence.
What objectively exists in the repository is marked as confirmed; what depends on inference appears as probable; what cannot be stated becomes a question — never a fabricated fact. When the platform does not know, it says it does not know.
The platform uses a temporary clone and destroys the processing environment when analysis ends, retaining only derived metadata. Protecting your source code is part of the same security discipline we apply when assessing it.
Code cannot reveal everything, including business context or the impact of a finding. When that context is missing, the platform asks you during generation rather than assuming an answer. These questions clarify interpretation while keeping the measured facts separate.
The assessment methods draw on established software engineering references. Each assessment identifies the method it uses.
Human certification
The platform generates the assessment. When you need a formal professional assessment, you can arrange review and certification by a senior analyst. Part of the quality framework behind our work is also public.
Our team brings more than 20 years of executive experience leading operations at large companies and startups. Under a separate engagement, a senior analyst reviews, signs and certifies the assessment.
The quality canon our kits carry is a public registry, versioned, with a hash per file and a declared license on every rule.
